Martyr Nicander, a Roman military officer, and Marcian, his comrade, were converted to Christianity by Hermolaus after witnessing his unyielding faith. Abandoning their military posts, they dedicated themselves to burying martyred Christians. Upon discovery, they refused to renounce their faith, and were subjected to tortures, remaining steadfast. They were ultimately beheaded for their unwavering belief in Christ.
