Born in Moldavia, Antipa desired monastic life from youth. He traveled extensively, seeking spiritual guidance, and eventually settled at the Romanian skete of Calapodești on Mount Athos. Known for extreme asceticism, constant prayer, and humility, he attracted many followers. Despite being offered positions of authority, he preferred obscurity. He reposed peacefully, his relics later revealing incorruption and miraculous properties.
