Born in Epivat on the shores of the Sea of Marmara, St. Parascheva, from a young age, was drawn to the ascetic life, forsaking earthly possessions for spiritual wealth. One day, upon hearing the Gospel read in church, her heart was moved, and she dedicated herself to God, eventually leaving her family to join a monastery near Constantinople. After years of prayer and devotion in various monastic communities, she returned to her homeland, living as a hermit until her repose. Her relics, known for their miraculous healings, are venerated in Iași, Romania, drawing pilgrims from across the world seeking solace and divine aid.
