As Priest-Confessor John of Galeş lay on his deathbed, he requested that no funeral or memorial service be held for him. He instructed his spiritual children to read only the Paschal Canon for his departure, believing that death, for a Christian, is but a passage to eternal life. Even in his final moments, his focus remained on the joy of the Resurrection and the hope of salvation for all. May his example inspire us to live with unwavering faith and anticipation of the eternal Kingdom. O Lord, have mercy on us!
