Ghelasie, once a simple monk, became the spiritual guide of Râmeț Monastery during communism, in Transylvania. He was arrested and tortured for his faith. Yet, he emerged stronger, his love for God and people unshaken. After the fall of communism, he became an archbishop, continuing his work of spiritual renewal, teaching love, forgiveness, and ceaseless prayer.

Lord, may Ghelasie's example inspire us to stand firm in faith.
