Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a guard, were martyred for their Christian faith in 315 AD during the reign of Licinius. Ermil was tortured for refusing to offer pagan sacrifices. Stratonic, secretly a Christian, wept openly at Ermil's suffering, revealing his own faith. Both were then tortured and ultimately drowned in the Danube River. Their unwavering devotion led them to embrace death rather than renounce Christ.

Lord, through the prayers of Martyrs Ermil and Stratonic, strengthen our resolve to uphold our faith amidst adversity. May their sacrifice inspire us to live boldly for You.
