Venerable Germanus of #Dobrogea, a simple monk, lived in a cave near the Black Sea. He endured great heat and relentless mosquito swarms, yet he never wavered in his devotion, spending his days in prayer and fasting. One day, some shepherds saw a bright light emanating from his cave. Approaching, they found Germanus radiant with divine grace, his face shining. He foretold future events to them and urged them to live a life of repentance.
