Peter Mogila, a man of noble birth, chose the monastic life, revitalizing the #Orthodox faith in the 17th century. As Metropolitan of Kiev, he founded a school that later became the Kiev Theological Academy. He combatted false teachings with the Orthodox Confession, a clear exposition of Orthodox doctrine, and he restored many churches and monasteries.
