In 1949, Father Liviu Galaction, a priest from Cluj, Romania, was arrested by the communist regime for his unwavering faith and refusal to compromise his Orthodox beliefs. Despite brutal torture and constant pressure to renounce his faith, he remained steadfast. He encouraged his fellow prisoners with words of hope and prayers, transforming his prison cell into a place of spiritual refuge. Father Liviu ultimately died a martyr, his life a testament to his devotion to Christ. May Saint Liviu Galaction intercede for us, that we too may remain strong in our faith.
