Before becoming a monk, Ghelasie was a soldier. One day, he was captured and threatened with death if he didn't renounce his faith. Refusing, he was tortured but miraculously survived. He later became a monk, known for his ascetic life, and eventually, Archbishop of Transylvania. He is revered for his unwavering #Faith and #Courage.
