In the 4th century, during a time of persecution against Christians, Sava, a Goth, openly confessed his faith. When authorities demanded to know if any Christians were among them, Sava bravely declared, "Let anyone who is a Christian come forward!" He refused to deny Christ, even under torture. Thrown into the Buzău River to drown, Sava became a martyr for his unwavering belief.
