Ghelasie, once a skilled doctor, abandoned his practice to embrace monasticism at Râmeț. During communist oppression, he secretly served as a spiritual guide, strengthening believers' faith amidst persecution. He restored the Râmeț Monastery, turning it into a beacon of hope and spiritual renewal.
