In Durostorum, Emilian, a courageous young man, shattered pagan idols during a festival. Arrested and questioned, he boldly confessed his faith in Christ. Despite threats and torture, Emilian refused to renounce his beliefs. He was sentenced to be burned alive. As the flames engulfed him, he praised God, and his face shone with divine light until his last breath.
