Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a prison guard, were martyred for their faith. Stratonic secretly confessed Christianity. When Ermil was tortured for refusing to sacrifice to idols, Stratonic wept openly. Accused of being Christian, Stratonic confessed his faith. They were both drowned in the Danube River for refusing to deny Christ.
