On this day, we remember the holy Martyr Oprea of Săliştea. In 1768, during the Austro-Hungarian empire's religious oppression in Transylvania, Oprea stood firm in his #Orthodox #Faith. Called to renounce his Orthodoxy and embrace Catholicism, he refused, declaring his unwavering loyalty to the true Christian faith. For this, he endured brutal torture, yet he never wavered. Finally, he was beheaded for Christ.
