Venerable Paisie, born Peter Olaru, felt a burning monastic calling early in life. He joined Cozancea Skete at age 12. After serving in the army, he entered Sihăstria Monastery, becoming a monk in 1949. Known for his profound spiritual wisdom, he became a father confessor, guiding thousands. People flocked to him for advice and solace. It is said that he possessed the gift of clairvoyance, discerning people's hidden struggles and offering tailored guidance.
