During World War II, Fr. Arsenie served in the Romanian army. One day, while on the front lines, he encountered a wounded soldier, abandoned and near death. Fr. Arsenie, risking his own life, carried the soldier to safety, nursed him back to health, and brought him closer to #God before he died. He would do so again with others during the war.
