Ghelasie, once a simple monk at Râmeț, faced a communist interrogation in the 1950s. Ordered to denounce his faith and the miraculous icons of the monastery, he instead spoke of God’s unwavering love and the icons' power to heal souls. The interrogators, stunned by his conviction, released him. Ghelasie continued to guide countless people until his death in 2003. May his example inspire us to stand firm in faith. Lord, give us strength.
