Born in Epivat (present-day Turkey) to pious parents, Saint Paraschiva dedicated her life to God from a young age. After her parents' death, she distributed her inheritance to the poor and sought refuge in a monastery near Constantinople. Later, she journeyed to the Holy Land, embracing an ascetic life in the Jordanian desert. An angel appeared to her, instructing her to return to her homeland. She reposed in peace in Epivat and through her relics, many miracles occurred.
