Venerable Nicodim of Tismana, a 14th-century monk, established the Tismana Monastery in Romania after receiving a divine vision. He tirelessly worked to spread Christianity, building churches and schools, and translated religious texts from Greek and Slavic into Romanian. His dedication to prayer and asceticism drew many followers, and he became known for his wisdom and compassion. He peacefully reposed in the Lord, leaving behind a legacy of faith and devotion.
