During the communist regime in Romania, Priest Ilarion Felea refused to compromise his faith, even under torture. He openly preached against the atheistic ideology and defended the Church. Arrested in 1959, he endured brutal interrogation and imprisonment. Despite the immense pressure to renounce his beliefs, he remained steadfast. He died in prison, a martyr for his unwavering devotion to Christ.
