On this day, we remember Saint Emilian of Durostorum, who bravely confessed his faith in Christ during the reign of Julian the Apostate. When the pagan authorities placed him on the rack, he remained steadfast, enduring torture with unwavering faith. Enraged, the judge ordered him to be burned alive. As the flames engulfed him, Emilian sang praises to God, departing this life in holy martyrdom.

Let us pray to Saint Emilian, that through his intercessions, God may grant us strength to stand firm in our faith amidst trials and tribulations.
