A theologian of great depth, Father Ilarion Felea refused to compromise his faith during Romania's communist regime. Arrested for his beliefs, he endured brutal torture, yet remained steadfast, encouraging fellow prisoners to hold onto their faith. He was eventually martyred in 1959.
