Venerable John Iacob, after years of serving in Romanian monasteries, sought deeper solitude in the Holy Land. He lived as a hermit in the desert near the Jordan River, praying ceaselessly. Once, a group of Bedouins stumbled upon his cave, seeking water. Though his water skin was nearly empty, he offered it to them. Miraculously, the skin remained full until all were quenched. He later lived in Saint George Hozevit Monastery, where he reposed.
Let us pray to #Saint John Iacob, that he intercede for us, so that we too may find the strength to share what little we have, trusting in God's providence. #OrthodoxChristian #Prayer #HolyLand #Saints
