Hieromartyr Irineu, Bishop of Sirmium, fearlessly confessed his faith before Emperor Maximian during a brutal persecution. Offered honors to pagan idols, he refused, declaring Christ as his only King. Imprisoned and tortured, he converted many by his steadfast faith. After further refusal to sacrifice, he was beheaded in 304 AD. His unwavering devotion inspires us to stand firm in our beliefs.
