A humble shepherd, Dimitrie lived a life of simplicity and prayer near the village of Basarabi. After his death, his relics remained hidden, revealed by God to a paralyzed girl who was guided in a dream. Her faith led villagers to unearth his body, finding it incorrupt and fragrant. Miraculously, she was healed. Later, during a time of plague, his relics were brought to Bucharest, ending the epidemic.
