Pasicrates and Valentine, brothers and soldiers, stood firm in their Christian faith despite the emperor's command to offer sacrifices to idols. When they refused, they were subjected to terrible tortures, beaten, scraped with iron claws, and burned with torches. Their unwavering faith amazed many, who then converted to Christianity. Even as they were led to execution, they glorified God, eventually being beheaded for their beliefs.
