Venerable Dometie of Râmeț, a 14th-century Romanian monk, was renowned for his extreme generosity. He gave away everything he owned, even his own clothes, to the poor. During a severe famine, he sold sacred liturgical vessels to feed the starving. He was a true example of selfless love and unwavering faith. He retreated to the solitude of the Râmeț Monastery. His holy life and dedication led him to be recognized by the Church for his merciful heart.
