Martyr Nicander, a Roman soldier, and Marcian, his comrade, were converted by Hermolaus after witnessing his unwavering faith and miraculous healing. They began to openly profess Christ, converting many others and visiting imprisoned Christians. When their actions were discovered, they refused to renounce their faith, enduring torture and ultimately being beheaded for their belief.
