Martyr Nicandru and Marcian, soldiers in the Roman army, bravely confessed their faith in Christ during the reign of Emperor Maximian. They were subjected to brutal tortures, including being scourged, and having their bodies pierced with iron nails. Despite the agonizing pain, they remained steadfast in their devotion. Finally, they were beheaded for their belief near Durostorum (present-day Silistra, Bulgaria).

O Holy Martyrs Nicandru and Marcian, pray to God for us, that He may grant us strength to endure trials and remain faithful to Him.
