St. Iraclie lived a life of asceticism near the Varnița Monastery, Basarabia. Known for his deep humility and simple life, he attracted many seeking spiritual guidance. One day, a group of bandits, mistaking his hermitage for a place of hidden wealth, attacked him. Despite their brutal treatment, Iraclie prayed for their repentance and offered them the little food he had. Struck by his meekness and forgiveness, the bandits repented and became followers of Christ.

Holy Iraclie, pray that we may be granted such grace, mercy, and forgiveness, and to do God's work in our lives.
