In the late 3rd century, during Diocletian's persecutions, Roman soldiers martyred Zotic, Atal, Camasis, and Filip near Niculițel, Romania, for their unwavering faith. Their relics, discovered in 1971, revealed them as missionaries who had converted many locals to Christianity. Their martyrdom strengthened the early Church in the region.
