In the reign of Emperor Maximian, Isihie, a high-ranking officer, openly confessed his faith when ordered to persecute Christians. He refused to offer sacrifices to idols, declaring Christ as the true God. Despite pleas from his relatives and threats of torture, Isihie remained steadfast. He was subjected to various tortures, including being stoned, but remained unharmed. Astonished, many soldiers converted to Christianity. Emperor Maximian, enraged by Isihie's resilience and the conversions, ordered his execution by sword.
