On this day, we remember #Martyr Oprea of Săliştea, a Romanian peasant who stood firm in his #OrthodoxChristian faith when pressured to convert to Catholicism. In the late 18th century, during a time of religious and political upheaval in Transylvania, Oprea refused to renounce his beliefs, despite facing imprisonment and torture. He was ultimately killed for his unwavering devotion. His sacrifice became a symbol of resistance and faith for the Romanian people.
