In the year 304, during the reign of Emperor Maximian, Saint Dassie, a Roman soldier, stood firm in his Christian faith. Assigned to participate in the pagan festival of Saturn, Dassie refused to desecrate his beliefs. He abandoned his military belt, proclaiming his unwavering devotion to Christ. For his steadfast faith, Dassie was martyred.

O Saint Dassie, pray that we may have the strength to stand firm in our faith, even in the face of adversity, and to always choose God above worldly pleasures.
