In 1714, Prince Constantin Brâncoveanu, along with his four sons and counselor Ianache, faced execution by the Ottoman Empire for refusing to renounce their Christian faith. Offered a chance to save their lives by converting to Islam, they chose martyrdom. As his sons were beheaded before him, Constantin, witnessing their unwavering commitment to Christ, remained steadfast. Finally, he was beheaded as well.
