After her husband's death, Theodora of Sihla withdrew to the Carpathian Mountains as a nun. Facing persecution, she lived in a hollow tree for years, sustained only by wild herbs and the grace of God. Legend tells of her miraculous survival during harsh winters and her encounters with wild animals, who, it's said, never harmed her. She died in a cave, having lived a life of profound solitude and prayer. Saint Theodora, pray for us and intercede with God for our salvation.
