On April 22, we commemorate the Martyr Theodosie of Brazi. He lived in the 17th century in Wallachia. A Romanian monk known for his scholarship and virtue, he was seized by invading Tatars. Refusing to convert to Islam, Theodosie endured torture and beheading. His steadfast faith made him an example of courage, and his martyrdom became a symbol of resistance against oppression.
