St. Calistrat of Timișeni, driven by divine love, sought solitude in the forests near Timișeni Monastery. There, he battled temptations and demons, his unwavering faith a shield. Villagers, witnessing his asceticism, sought his blessings and guidance. Once, during a drought, they begged him for rain. Calistrat, with fervent prayer, struck a rock, and a spring gushed forth, ending their thirst. He later founded Vasiova Monastery, continuing his life of prayer and miracle.
