Venerable George of Cernica, a beacon of monastic life, was known for his profound humility. Once, a nobleman visited the monastery and, seeing George dressed in simple garb, dismissed him, asking to speak to the "abbot." George, without revealing his identity, led the nobleman through the monastery, serving him water and food. Only after this service did he reveal he was the abbot. The nobleman was deeply humbled.

Today, we pray: Holy Venerable George, through your humility, intercede for us, that we may learn to serve one another with love, and lead us closer to Christ. Amen.
