St. Visarion, a monk from Lainici Monastery, lived a life of prayer and asceticism. In the mid-18th century, amidst religious turmoil in Transylvania, he stood firm in his Orthodox faith, refusing to convert to Uniatism. For his unwavering conviction, he was imprisoned, tortured, and ultimately martyred by being dragged to death. He endured immense suffering with patience and faith, becoming a symbol of resistance and steadfastness for the Orthodox Romanians in Transylvania.

Holy Visarion, pray to God for us and defend the Orthodox faithful in these tumultuous times. #Saint #OrthodoxChristian #Martyr #Prayer #Faith
