Saint Liviu Galaction was a priest in Cluj during World War II. He fearlessly helped Jewish people escape the Holocaust, providing them with baptismal certificates and shelter, despite the great danger to himself and his family. He was eventually arrested by the authorities for his actions. He remained steadfast in his faith and was martyred for defending those persecuted.
