John the New of Suceava, a 14th-century merchant, was martyred for his unwavering #ChristianFaith. While traveling, he was arrested and forced to deny Christ. He refused, boldly proclaiming his belief despite torture. Enraged, the governor ordered his execution. John was tied to a tree and beheaded. His relics are venerated for their miraculous power.
