A humble shepherd near the village of Basarabi, Dimitrie lived a life of simple piety, unknown to the world. After his death, during a drought, his relics were revealed in a dream to a paralytic woman, bringing healing and rain to the parched land. His relics, known for their miracles, were later moved to Bucharest, where they protect the city.
