Ordered by the Securitate to cease liturgical services at a newly built church in Constanța, he refused, stating, "This house belongs to God, not to Ceaușescu." The church was surrounded by armed soldiers, yet Theotim, with unwavering resolve, led the service. The soldiers, awestruck by his courage and the palpable faith of the congregation, eventually withdrew. The church remained open, a testament to his fearless devotion.
