Martyr Hermes, a Roman official, was arrested for his Christian faith during Emperor Antoninus Pius's reign. Brought before the authorities, he confessed Christ openly. Despite torture, Hermes remained steadfast, even after witnessing the beheading of another Christian, Eusebius. Miraculously, angels healed his wounds in prison. Astonished, a judge and 630 others converted, leading to their immediate baptisms and subsequent martyrdom. Hermes was eventually beheaded.
