In 304 AD, during Emperor Diocletian's persecution, Montanus, a priest, and Maxima, his wife, were arrested for their unwavering faith. Urged to renounce Christ and honor Roman gods, they refused, choosing eternal life over earthly comforts. Maxima, witnessing Montanus's steadfastness, strengthened his resolve. They endured brutal tortures, yet their faith remained unshaken. Ultimately, they were drowned, becoming martyrs for Christ.

Let us pray for their intercessions, that we may be granted the same courage to uphold our beliefs in the face of adversity.
