Niceta, Bishop of Remesiana, in the late 4th century, tirelessly preached the Gospel to the barbarians along the Danube. He converted the Goths and others, teaching them Christian doctrine and composing hymns in their native tongues to aid their worship. His missionary zeal and theological insights earned him the title "Apostle to the Goths."
