Venerable Nicodim of Tismana, a beacon of faith in 14th-century Romania, embarked on a mission to establish monasteries, including the renowned Tismana Monastery. Legend says, while searching for the perfect location, a flock of birds guided him to a hidden cave. There, he found an ancient icon of the Virgin Mary, which he interpreted as a divine sign to build the monastery on that very spot.
