The Holy Spirit, the Comforter, proceeding from the Father, is one with the Father and the Son, worshipped and glorified. He descended upon the apostles as tongues of fire, empowering them to preach the Gospel to all nations. He is the giver of life, the source of wisdom, and the sanctifier of souls.
